Khao Takiab

Khao Takiab is located 7 km south of Hua Hin and has throughout the past few years grown into becoming on of the most popular locations in the Hua Hin area with all kinds of amenities ranging such as accommodation, beaches, activities, restaurants and bars.

The official meaning of Khao Takiab is "Chopstick Mountain" Khao Takiab is dominated by a almost 300 m tall mountain which is can be seen all the way from Hua Hin beach. This hill is also know as "Monkey Mountain" due to large numbers of monkeys (macaques) that live here. It is a good experience to feed the monkeys, however be advised that eventhough they monkey are not normally aggresive they can become quite aggresive if being teased. Furthermore please be advised that they monkies not always only like the food but also once in a while enjoy a camara or handbag.

There are two great beaches on either side of Khao Takiab which both are less busy than the beaches of Hua Hin, both offering quiet places to relax and to enjoy great food from one of the many beach restaurants.
